A magnificent medium-sized platter potted by using local clays and materials with an interesting black shining iron glaze full of thousands of mini rust brown-colored bubbles and dots on it, a textured rust brown color poured over it, and four strong calligraphic brushstrokes going around the rim and running down, with two free strokes slightly off the center point of the platter. It's potted with elegant, beautiful proportions, with an elevated height, plus a good weight. As a dedicated painter himself, the poured glaze technique resembles the ideas of Jackson Pollock's dripping paintings - which gave a strong expression of individualism and freedom during those times.
