A typical Japanese concept of wabi taste - rustic beauty. An unglazed wood fired Bizen style jar. This jar with cover is suggested as a function object as water-container (mizusashi) in Japanese tea-ceremony. Jeff claimed that the inspiration came from the Chinese Han terra-cotta warrior.
